Scott Zais first fell in love with basketball back in the late 90s when his beloved Sacramento Kings could actually, you know, win games. It’s been tough times in Sacramento lately, but he is of the opinion that waiting out the bad times makes the good times more than worth it. Other than the Kings, Scott follows a random of assortment of NBA players, including Deron Williams, Stephen Curry, Kevin Love, and Jon Brockman.
Scott has an unhealthy passion for the game and would love nothing more than to write about hoops (and update his fantasy roster) until his fingers bleed. Unfortunately, he is a one-sport guy—he would’ve been a Giants and 49ers fan, but both franchises went to great lengths to shatter his heart in his formative years. Having one team crush your dreams repeatedly seems to be all he can take.
Other than basketball, Scott is a fan of country music, his dog Perkins, and a good beer. He can’t stand paper cuts (how can something so small hurt so much?), the Lakers, and bandwagon fans. Just say no, kids. Just say no.
