Give me a break about "consistently" beating the "big schools". How many freaking non-conf. games can you schedule a year? We beat oregon last year, oh it was the beginning of the season, they got better. We have vt and o. state this year, what are the excuses going to be then???? Oh, and by the way, NOT the first time we have beat oregon! Let us into a bigger conf. and then talk. Until then, keep it to yourself!

Derek:
Very true, they were lucky they didn't play Florida or else they would have gotten thumped like Utah did last season vs Alabama...oh wait.
I'm not saying the MWC is superior to SEC (obviously), but the Big East/ACC, can easily make this argument. Even the Pac-10 the past two seasons.

Check TCU's record vs 'Big schools' the past five years before revealing your ignorance.

Matt:
1.) Attendance numbers? Last I checked the 11 players on the field were not counted in the attendance so how does this affect performance on the field?
2.) Clowning the MWC recruiting does ot make other conferences with higher rated recruits look better because in many cases MWC is outplaying them with 'lesser' talent.
3.) Funny you should mention 3 above average teams. What do you get in the Pac-10 minus USC? A couple good seasons by Oregon? LMAO

LOL... what a joke of an article. MWC better than the other conferences. Keep dreaming... Yes, you are possibly better than the Big East or something. Just thank the lord you didn't play Florida or anyone like that in the Sugar Bowl. Yikes!

Obviously this person has an agenda. Many of his stats are misleading at best. TCU and Boise State are lucky they played each other and got 1 win out of it. When they start consistently beating the big schools, then you'll have something to write about.

Your comparison of at large bids makes no sense. I think you might need to do a little research on how the BCS system works. Saying the MWC has more at large bids in the last six years then the ACC, Big East, Pac 10 and Big 12 combined is like comparing apples to oranges the way the system works. The MWC is average at best, look at their attendance numbers and recruiting compared to any BCS conference, it's like night and day. Three above average teams beating up on pratically FCS teams doesn't make a conference. I'll be happy once the Pac-10 takes BYU and Utah so all this whining about why the MWC doesn't have a BCS bid can be put to rest.

You are so right. The BCS didn't want two Utah's on their hands this season. That butt kicking Utah gave 'Bama last year was awesome and two of those from BCS Busters this season would have been humiliating.

Overall excellent game by two great teams that should have been in two separate BCS bowl games. The BCS was fearful of doing that because had they done so, both TCU and BSU would both be undefeated at the end of the bowl season and the BCS didn't want the embarressment.
